Hi my name is Karen and I am part of the fabulous reception team here at iNkfish! I absolutely love my job and the people I work with, they really are a mixed bunch of personalities and characters and help to make every day different. I have always been fascinated by hair, beauty and fashion and working here has helped to satisfy my interest in everything connected with it. My latest short hairstyle crush is Jennifer Lawrence. That girl can really work a crop! Have a peek at her style at the Oscars.
One of my other major passions is shopping! You can often find me on my day off wandering the shops in search of a bargain to add to my ever expanding wardrobe. Accessories are absolutely my thing, anything from a statement necklace, a bling ring, a silk scarf or an unusual handbag to bring an outfit together, my daughter (and her friends!) just love to raid my expanding collection.
My other interests include travel, food and reading. Pop me on a sunbed in a sunny climate with a chilled glass of wine, some tasty tapas and my kindle and I am in heaven. My favourite book from my holiday in Marbella last summer would have to be The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, I actually felt I could smell and taste the places in Afghanistan that he was describing and as he let the story of two friends from such different backgrounds unfold his writing really moved me!
I was also lucky enough to visit Rome last year and am looking forward to planning my next city break having previously visited New York and Barcelona. Exploring a new city is just so exciting from seeing the famous sights and landmarks to finding a tiny cafe off the beaten track and enjoying a cappuccino and sampling a delicious local pastry. Any recommendations anyone???
Well that’s it from me at the moment. I’m off to prepare for another class at the gym, need to keep fit and active for my role at work and prepare for my next holiday….and more wine and delicious food!! 🙂
